This Indenture made the …. day of November in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and five between Benjamin White Collector of Land Tax in the County of Franklin for the year eighteen hundred and three on the one part and Jonathan Dayton assignee of James Rilbourn of the County of Essex State of New Jersey on the other part 

Witnesseth that the said Collector for and in consideration of the sum of twenty four dollars twenty six cents to him in hand paid by the said James Rilbourn for the after described tract of land sold by the said Collector to the said James Rilbourn on the seventh day of November Anno Domini eighteen hundred and four for arrearages of taxes due from Galbreath and Elmes of the State aforesaid for the year eighteen hundred and three for land belonging to the said Galbreath and Elmes lying in Franklin County aforesaid agreeable to a statute of law of this State entitled ‘An Act for levying a State tax passed….’ the receipt of which the said Benjamin White doth hereby acknowledge and forever acquit and discharge the said James Rilbourn and Jonathan Dayton their heirs executors and administrators hath granted bargained and sold unto the said Jonathan Dayton assignee of the land bounded and described as follows viz.

being the whole of the first …. or section number one in the third township of the seventeenth range in the tract of land set apart for satisfying warrants for military services in the State of Ohio together with all improvements profits and appurtenances whatsoever to the said premises belonging or in any wise appertaining and the reversions remainders and profits thereof to all the estate right title interest property claim and demand of the said Galbreath and Elmes of in and to the same 

To have and to hold the lands hereby conveyed with all and singular the premises and every part and parcel thereof with every of the appurtenances unto the said Jonathan Dayton his heirs and assigns forever to the only proper use and behoof of him the said Jonathan Dayton and of his heirs and assigns forever 

I testimony whereof the said Benjamin White Collector hath hereto set his hand and seal at Franklinton in the County aforesaid the day and date first above written

This day personally appeared before me James Marshall a Justice for the Peace in and for the County aforesaid the within named Benjamin White and acknowledged the within deed and conveyance to Jonathan Dayton to be his act and deed. Given under my hand and seal at Franklinton aforesaid the 14th day of November AD 1805
