Deed - Francis Hall to wife Elizabeth - 1664


Be it known unto all men by these presents that Francis Hall of Fairfield doe acknowledge to have formerly sold a house and land in England the which was a jointure confirmed upon my wife Elizabeth at our marriage In consideration hereof have stood engaged to make her as good a right in the like kind in .... of the place and for the performance of and making good the said engagement I doe make over unto my said wife all my house and lands within the liberties of Fairfield to be now her jointure as fully to all true intents and meanings as was her jointure in England which was in such terms as these for the use and behoof of the said Elizabeth and the heirs lawfully begotten betwixt the said Francis and Elizabeth And that the said Francis shall neither sell let nor morgage nor give away the said premises without the consent of the said Elizabeth and her feofees which were two friends made ......... for her assistance and for that end I doe grant her the like liberty And doe hereby bind my self to the true performance of the aforementioned premises and that shee may at her pleasure record this present Instrument as witness my hand and seal this 4th? day of March 1664
