To all Christian people to whom this present writing shall or may come, Stephanus Gasherie of ye precincts of Marbletowne in ye County of Ulster together with Hilgonda van Slichtenhorst of ye corporacon of Kingstowne in ye said County sendeth greeting whereas ye said Stephanus Gasherie together with John Gasherie did purchase as joynt partners together of John Hammell (sic. Hamble) a certaine house & lott of ground situate lying & being in ye town of Kingstowne

It being a corner lott to ye North of ye house and ground of Gillis Lagransie

ye East lyes ye house of Evert Bogardus now in ye possession of ye sd John Gasherie which s’d house & lott of ground was upon the 3rd day of May 1698 conveyed by ye said John Hammell (sic. Hamble) unto ye sd John Gasherie & Stephanus Gasherie and then after ye said Stephanus Gasherie & Engeltie his wife did convey assign & sett over their right & title to ye real half part of said house and lott of ground unto ye said Hilgonda van Slichtenhorst upon ye 23rd of Feb 1701/2

And whereas ye said Stephanus Gasherie together with ye s’d Hilgonda van Slichtenhorst for divers good causes & considerations them thereunto moving but more & especially for and in consideration of a seventy pounds current money of ye province of New Yorke to them in hand paid before ye ensealing & delivery of these presents by John Gasherie & Judith his wife both of Kingstowne in sd County have bargained, sold, alienated, enfeofed, assigned & sett over & by these presents do bargain, sell, alienate, enfeof, assigns & sett over unto ye said John Gasherie & Judith his wife ye just right & title of ye real half part of ye sd house & lott of ground

To have and to hold ye real half part of sd house and lott of ground with all & every the appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining to ye said John Gasherie & Judith his wife their heirs and assigns and to ye only proper use benefit & behoof of them y sd John Gasherie & Judith his wife their heirs & assigns forever and ye sd Stephanus Gasherie together with ye s’d Hilgonda van Slichtenhorst doth for themselves their heirs executors administrators or assigns acquit exonerate & discharge ye said John Gasherie & Judith his wife for ye s’d house & premises & will forever ware and defend against all manner of persons  claiming ye same

In Testimony whereof ye said Stephanus Gasherie & Hilgonda van Slichtenhorst have hereunto sett their hands & interchangeably affixed their seales In Kingstowne the 27rd day of May 1702
