Deed – Ulster County, New York State. Deed Book AA, pg.267 To all Christian people to whom this present writing shall or may come, Stephanus Gasherie & Engeltie his wife of Kingstown in ye County of Ulster sendeth greeting, whereas ye said Stephanus Gasherie & Engeltie his wife for divers good causes & considerations them thereunto moving but more & especially for and in consideration of a certaine summe of seventy pounds current money of New York to them ye said Stephanus Gasherie and Engeltie his wife in hand payd before ye ensealing & delivery of these presents by Hilgonda van Slichtenhorst of s’d place have granted, bargained, sold, alienated, enfeofed, assigned & sett over & by these presents do grant, bargain, sell, alienate, enfeof, assigns & sett over unto the said Hilgonda van Slichtenhorst all that right half part of a certain house & lott of ground situate lying and being in ye town of Kingstowne It being a corner lott to ye North of ye house &
lott of ground of Gillis Lagransie To have and to hold ye half of said house and lott of ground with all & every ye appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining to ye said Hilgonda van Slichtenhorst her heirs and assigns and to ye only proper use benefit & behoof of her y said Hilgonda van Slichtenhorst her heirs & assigns forever, The said Stephanus Gasherie & Engeltie his wife doth hereby acquit exonerate & discharge her ye said Hilgonda van Slichtenhorst for ye above s’d half of ye house & premises will forever warrant and defend ye same against person or persons whatsoever claiming or to make any claim thereunto In Testimony whereof ye said Stephanus Gasherie &
Engeltie his wife have hereunto sett their hands & affixed their
seales In Kingstowne the 23rd day of Feb’y & in ye
