Recorded at the request of Robert Skelton the twenty & sixth day of June 1691

To all Christian people to whom this present writing shall come Susannah Brasier the widow and executrix of Henry Brasier late of the City of New York deceased sendeth greeting 

Whereas the said Henry Brasier in his lifetime together with the said Susanna his wife by their certain Articles of Agreement Indebted and made the thirteenth day of February Ann 1688/9
Did for the consideration of a valuable sum of money bargain and sell unto Robert Skelton a certain lot of ground lying and being upon Manhattans Island to the South of Wolpherts Meadow containing in breadth and length as appears by a certain Patent of Confirmation granted by the Governor General Richard Nicholls Esq. bearing date the 13th day of September 1667 with all the tenements buildings fencings trees and appurtenances thereupon erected or belonging which said valuable sum of money was to be paid at several days and payments as by the Articles herein part recited more fully and at large may appear 

Which said Articles being on the part and behalf of him the said Robert Skelton fully performed and the full and lawful right of inheritance of the said lot of ground houses and premises at the decease of the said Henry Brasier being wholly devolved upon the survivor of the said grantees Susannah Brasier the widow relict and sole executrix of him the said deceased grantor Henry Brasier as by the last will of him the said Henry Brasier bearing date the twenty third day of April Anno Domi (1689) more fully and at large doth and may appear 

Now know ye that I the said Susannah Brasier in quality as aforesaid for a further consideration unto the said Robert Skelton have for several good and valuable considerations especially for the sum of one hundred and five pounds current money of New York to me in hand before the ensealing and delivery hereof by the said Robert Skelton given granted bargained sold aliened assigned transperted and made over And do by these presents fully freely and absolutely give grant bargain sell alien assign transpert make and confirm unto him the said Robert Skelton All that lot of ground houses and premises before recited with the appurtenances pursuant to the Article of Sale made and contracted the day and year above recited And all the estate right title interest property claim and demand of me the said Susannah Brasier of in or to the same or any part thereof 

To have and to hold the said lot of ground houses and premises with the appurtenances unto him the said Robert Skelton his heirs and assigns to the sole and only proper use benefit and behoof of the said Robert Skelton his heirs and assigns forever And I the said Susannah Brasier for myself my heirs executors and administrators do further covenant promise grant and agree to and with the said Robert Skelton his heirs executors administrators and assigns that they and every of them shall and may from time to time and at all times hereafter peaceably and quietly have hold occupy possess and enjoy and every the before granted premises with the appurtenances without the let suit hindrance molestation eviction denial or gamesaying of me the said Susannah Brasier or of any claiming lawful by from or under me or by from or under my said deceased husband Henry Brasier 

And I do hereby further warrant the said premises to him the said Robert Skelton free and clear from all former bargains sales mortgages bequests leases devise or devises whatsoever yielding and paying all such dues duties and demands as may hereafter lawfully become due upon the said premises 

In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this twenty second day of June in the third year of their Majesties reign AD 1691

New York the twenty sixth day of June 1691 there appeared before me Thomas Johnston Esq. one of the Judges of the Supreme Court of Judicature of the Province of New York William Huddleston and acknowledged that he did see the within named Susannah Brasier sign seal and deliver the within Instrument as her act and deed to the use within mentioned on the day of the date therein Witness my hand the day and year abovesaid
