Sarah Liddamore - Documents & Letters

Clarendon Villa, Sussex Place, Regent's Park, N.W.
9th Sept 1889
Mrs Thorndike ... to testify that Sarah Liddimore was in her service for three months during which time she found her a most excellent Servant, very respectable civil & obliging.
Mrs. Thorndike had a very good recommendation with her from a person who had known her for about 15 years.
Mrs. Thorndike only engaged Sarah for three months as she only required her for that time - there was no reason, other than that, for parting with her.

My Dear Nurse Liddamore,
I am very sorry to hear of all the trouble you have had since you went home, you have indeed had a trying time, no wonder you are not feeling much stronger. Our Chairman is away so that I could not speak to him about your extension of leave but Mr Marshall & I quite approve of you having the extra fortnight your Doctor recommended and hope by the 8th August you will be sufficiently recovered to return to us, whether you are strong enough or not to go on with your work come there and let Mr Marshall see you.
With much sympathy for your family & self in this terrible bereavement.
I am yours sincerely
