He was married to Elizabeth HORNE  on 4 Mar 1762 in Stoke Hammond by licence. The licence allegation and records John to be a farmer aged thirty or thereabouts, a bachelor of Stoke Hammond. Elizabeth is recorded as a widow of the same Parish.

Elizabeth was 1st married to Woodward HORNE  on 12 Oct 1753 at Little Brickhill, Bucks by licence³. The marriage entry records Elizabeth as being of Soulbury, Bucks, and Woodward to be of Stoke Hammond.
